AN ANALYSIS OF PROFANITY UTTERED BY MALE AND FEMALE INDONESIAN YOUTUBERS

This research aimed at discovering: (1) the types of profanity uttered by male and female Indonesian Youtubers; (2) reasons for Youtubers in uttering their videos. used qualitative method as design. The subjects this were whose videos analyzed to find out using those profanity. data collection was done observation technique audio-visual digital materials. interactive model proposed Miles Huberman which consisted three steps namely reduction, display conclusion drawing/verification. findings showed that: there four expletive, abusive, humorous, auxiliary profanity, and; five draw attention, offend, convey negative thought, respond pain or misfortune make fun jokes.
